WHAT IT CHECKS
Visible implementation evidence, grouped for action.
The report separates errors, warnings, manual-review items, and passed checks. Where a finding belongs to a page element, you can move directly to that element.
Page metadata
Shows the document title and meta description as factual page information—not as a ranking score.
Heading structure
Finds missing or multiple H1s, empty headings, and skipped heading levels, with an H1–H6 visual lens.
Images and links
Distinguishes missing from intentionally empty alt text, flags oversized images, and finds empty or placeholder destinations.
Layout overflow
Locates likely left- or right-side viewport overflow while excluding intentional horizontal-scroll containers where possible.
Contrast evidence
Checks visible text, placeholder text, and identifiable functional SVG icons; uncertain visual cases are routed to manual review.
AI and search signals
Reviews observable directives, canonical identity, JSON-LD, language, primary-content semantics, and selected public site files.

Page inspection starts only after you click the toolbar action. The extension does not upload inspected page content, crawl page links, use analytics, or collect personal data. It stores only the selected interface language.
AI and search visibility checks make uncredentialed requests only to the selected URL and the same site’s public response headers, robots.txt, Sitemap, and optional llms.txt.

A single scan covers the current top-level document and its current state. Text inside raster images and content introduced after the scan may require separate review or another scan.

What is CHCZ Design Checker?
It is a click-triggered Chrome extension that reviews the structure and visual implementation of the current rendered page. It organizes observable evidence into errors, warnings, manual-review items, and passed checks, with direct element navigation where available.
Does it upload the page I inspect?
No. Page inspection runs locally after you click the extension. It does not upload page content, crawl page links, use analytics, or collect personal data. Public AI and search checks are limited to the selected site’s observable technical resources.
Does it check every broken link or HTTP error?
No. It identifies empty and placeholder destinations and missing same-page fragment targets. It does not request linked URLs and is not an HTTP-status or 404 checker.
Does a passed report prove SEO or accessibility compliance?
No. The report is implementation evidence for the current page and scan state. Search performance, indexing, accessibility conformance, dynamic states, and sitewide behaviour require other evidence and human review.
How do I install and run it?
Open the official Chrome Web Store listing and add the extension to Chrome. On a regular web page, click the CHCZ Design Checker toolbar action, review the grouped findings, make changes, reload the page, and inspect again.
