This policy applies specifically to the CHCZ Design Checker Chrome extension (the “Extension”). It supplements, and is separate from, the general privacy policy for the CHCZ website.

The Extension inspects the current top-level webpage only after the user clicks its toolbar action. It locally processes page metadata, structure, visual implementation, rendered colors and styles for text and functional-icon contrast, indexing and snippet directives, canonical links, JSON-LD, language declarations, and primary-content semantics.

It also checks public technical controls on the current site: the selected page's status and X-Robots-Tag, /robots.txt, one same-origin Sitemap location, and /llms.txt. These checks do not determine or guarantee actual indexing, citation, ranking, or inclusion.

The Extension does not send webpage content or personal data to CHCZ or third parties. It does not use analytics, advertising trackers, remote code, or page-link crawling.

When the user opens the checker, it makes uncredentialed requests only to the selected page and those same-site public technical files. The site or hosting provider may receive ordinary request information such as the user's IP address and browser user agent. Limited response text is processed for the on-screen result and is not stored or transmitted elsewhere.

The Extension stores only the selected interface language—English or Simplified Chinese—using Chrome's local extension storage. This preference is not transmitted to CHCZ or any third party.

• activeTab temporarily accesses the page explicitly selected by the user.
• scripting loads bundled audit and interface files into that page.
• storage saves the language preference.

The Extension does not request persistent access to browsing history or all websites.

The Chrome Web Store listing may link to the CHCZ website and support page. Visiting those pages is a separate action governed by the website's privacy policy. The Extension does not send the inspected page to those sites.

If the Extension's data practices change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the changed version is published.
